Designed with a user-friendly interface, simply tap on the area of your body that is experiencing pain and see which trigger points are responsible for referring pain to that specific region. With over 50 distinct pain areas covered, you can easily navigate through the app to pinpoint the source of your discomfort.
There are multiple ways to locate trigger points within the app. You can either tap on a specific muscle on the interactive muscle model, select a muscle from the alphabetized list, or utilize the search bar. The search function allows you to search using relevant keywords like "elbow," which will display muscles related to the elbow along with any associated pain areas or conditions such as "lateral elbow pain" and "tennis elbow."
In addition to identifying trigger points, you can also explore their connection to various conditions. This app covers more than 40 conditions, allowing you to select a specific condition and view a list of muscles whose trigger points may cause or mimic that particular ailment.
In each trigger point illustration, the location of the point is clearly marked with an "x," while the corresponding area of referred pain is highlighted in blue. This visual representation aids in better understanding the relationship between trigger points and pain distribution.
Please keep in mind that this app does not provide treatment information. Its primary objective is to assist users in identifying the source of their specific pain. Once you have identified a trigger point, we strongly recommend consulting with a massage therapist or another trained professional for appropriate treatment. Additionally, there are numerous self-treatment resources available in book and video formats for those who wish to address their pain independently.
